Here it goes, in no particular order. I am thankful for...
1. Books. The ones with pages, not those fancy electronic reading tablets. I love the pages and holding a story in my hands.
2. Dance. It is such a beautiful, fun, expressive form of art. Music just flows through my veins and out my feet when I dance.
3. Field Hockey. I have found a great love for the sport and made so many incredible friends because of it. I can not wait to continue my journey of playing field hockey.
4. All my family. Even if we don't always get along, we will always be family and nothing will change that no matter what. They have known me my whole life, and there is something pretty special about that.
5. Friends. Real friends. The people you can trust and have fun with and enjoy quiet silence with. Friends are sort of the family you can choose.
6. Good movies. I love a movie that I can just get comfortable with and really pull a valuable lesson from. I think those are genuinely the greatest.
7. Traveling. I learn so much and see so much. I have some of my favorite memories from vacations. Boy, I would give anything to travel
8. Food. I know it seems sort of general but I feel so fortunate just to have food.
9. Water. Also basic and common, but so many people do not have clean water to drink and I have it at my disposal.
10. Music. I love classical music (dorky, I know) but I find such simple beauty in it. Also, basically any catchy song with a message I can relate to is beautiful.
11. My home. It may be just a house, but I love the fact that it is full of love and has withstood so much.
12. California. My home state. It will forever be home to me because it is where all the family and memories are at.
13. The beach. I love the beach so much. I feel so free there and I think it is a stunning place.
14. Paris. I've never been to France, but to see the Eiffel Tower is one of my dreams.
15. Writing. I love writing with all my heart (hence, this blog). But I also love writing stories. It may be weird but I wish I could live in some of the stories and know some of the characters I have created.
16. Tea. I'm not a tea fanatic or anything, but curling up with a book and mug of tea to me is perfection.
17. Meaningful conversations. I love relating to people, helping people, and having people listen to me.
18. Fashion. Oh clothes. I love them and really have a passion for fashion.
19. Old Hollywood. God I admire it's glamour. I honestly wish I could have known Marilyn and Audrey and Elvis. Heck even meeting Doris Day, or James Stewart and Cary Grant would have been a dream come true.
20. Dresses. Simple dresses, and especially fancy dresses. I just love them.
21. High heels. They are my favorite and I think lots of them are so pretty.
22. Long, peaceful walks. With my dog, with my friends, with myself. I love breathing on fresh air.
23. MY DOG. He is like my child and I would die without his fluffy self in my life.
24. Laying in the sun. While I enjoy tanning, I hate being so hot that I feel like I am entering the gates of hell. I just love feeling some warm sunlight soak into my pores.
25. Shopping. I don't necessarily have to buy anything, I just enjoy looking in different stores and having fun.
26. Taking baths. I'm more of a shower sort of person but I enjoy sitting among the bubbles and listening to relaxing music.
27. Long car rides. Staring out the window to a nice song, or dancing around to a fun song is just so fun to me.
28. Christmas. Lordy, Lordy do I love Christmas. It may be unhealthy but it makes me so joyful.
29. Christmas music. It is completely different than just regular music because it is Christmas.
30. Sunsets and sunrises. They are breath taking.
31. Waterfalls. Also very pretty. One day I want to jump off one like they do in the movies.
32. Full moons. Ahh. They also take my breath away.
33. Star gazing. It is so peaceful and mind blowing. On a super clear night, the vastness of space sends shivers up my spine. It is so incredible.
34. Snow. I rather be at the beach, but fresh snowfall is very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful.
35. Surprises. I love being surprised and surprising others (especially parties). I love that shocked, overjoyed look.
36. Laughing. What would life be without laughter?
37. Smiles from strangers. It is just heart warming to know people still exist In the world that are just kind.
38. The British Royal Family. Man, do I admire them. I love them all so much and look up to (almost) all of them.
39. Watermelon. It isn't even one of my favorite fruits, I just can not imagine a summer without it.
40. Summer nights. They are just so fun.
41. Tennis. It is super fun and I'm glad I am learning to play properly.
42. Nice parties or gatherings. I love to socialize.
43. Disney. Oh gosh, I almost forgot Disney. Well thank you to Disney for being my childhood and continuing to provide me with happy memories. I love you.
44. Weddings. I've only been to a few because obviously no one my age is getting married(at least I hope not). They are just so pretty and happy.
45. Babies and young kids. Sure they are annoying but they are so cute and can occasionally be very sweet and are so full of innocence and joy.
46. Cities. I must see as many major cities in the world as I can. I am a city girl through and through. I'm happiest in a city.
47. Laughing at myself. I'm glad I have that ability and am able to shake my embarassments off.
48. Blankets. I love laying under piles of blankets when it is cold outside and just sort of existing under this pile.
49. Relaxation. Peace and quiet. Alone time. However you put it, I'm grateful for it.
50. My life. The ups. The downs. It all makes up the one thing that is my life. I only have one of them so mine as well make it an adventure.
There was my list!! I will continue to add on to it throughout time. Maybe you should consider making a list of your own; it really brings happiness. I hope you all have a splendid Thanksgiving (here in America). If you're somewhere else in the world, still take the time to be thankful for this day and each day after. Until next time xxx.
