Who Is Delilah?

Everyone, well I'm hoping everyone, has heard the song Hey There Delilah by The Plain White T's.  It is a song that expresses honest and true love.  I find it fascinating that these two people are able to love each other even when they are miles apart.  The song is breathtaking and simply lovely.
Yet, I have always wondered, who is Delilah?  She seems like the sort of girl I would want to be like one day when I have grown up.  And, no, it is not just because a boy loves her so much that he writes a song about her.  It is not strictly because she is living in New York City, the Big Apple.  It is partially that, but mainly because she seems to be different.  She does not fit in with the rest of the world.  Delilah is special, and don't we all want to be special?  Yes, I do want to live in New York City one day.  I want to live lots of places.  From LA to San Francisco, to Chicago and New York, I'm hoping to live in all the major cities.  I would then like to branch out to other places all across the globe.  It is a goal I have (but we can get to that later).
For now, I am asking you, who do you think Delilah is?  In the song, it is mentioned she is going to school, and that the world will never be the same and she is to blame.  I take this literally; that she is so special she will one day impact the world.  Making an impact is something I want to do.  I would thoroughly feel fulfilled if I was able to help change the world. even if it was small.  I apologize if you find this post to be utterly ridiculous.  Really, I'm sorry... Actually, not really, because I think it is thought- provoking topic.  Next time you listen to any old song, think about the deeper meaning behind it.  Where did this inspiration come from?
I have just always wondered who Delilah is.  I am so incredibly tired, half falling asleep, and listening to this song.  It really is such a beautiful song and the more I listen to it the more I analyze it.  I suppose it is nice knowing someone is so capable of loving another person, even if it is just through song.  Until next time xxx.
