This Wild Idea

I had this wild idea to start a blog.  I guess the idea has always appealed to me, and I suppose I find a blog to be a good outlet.  It's a place to just type out all your thoughts and maybe others will find them relatable.  Before I begin, I composed a list of ten things about myself that I think you will find in my writings:
1.  I love to write.  Not in the boring, essay style like they make us do in school, but the other way.  The way that Fitzgerald and Hemingway wrote.  Of course, I'm nowhere near as good as them, but one day I'd like to be.  I find writing to be a form of art.
2. I love art.  I think it is so beautiful.  Not just paintings (though I love that, too) but music, literature and dance.  I love dancing because I think it's a form of expression, much like writing.
3. Traveling is an essential key to life.  I honestly believe if I never traveled I would not survive.  One day, I hope to travel the entire globe.  It's my dream to step foot on every continent (except maybe not Antarctica).  I've been to some of the most gorgeous places in the US, but I really want to see more of the world.
4. To me, a positive attitude makes all the difference in the world.  I think a positive outlook attracts positive outcomes.
5. I try to be a realist, and I know being positive all the time is no easy task (that's a whole other topic on it's own).  Then again, I have big dreams, so I'm constantly trying to work my dreams into reality.
6. I'm so analytical it's ridiculous.  Little thoughts really do turn into big ideas because all these little thoughts I have constantly grow off of each other.  I'm always paying attention to details and things like that.
7. Family, family, family.  Most of the time, I find family to be the only thing there is to count on in this world.  Friends come and go, but family really is forever (whether we like them all the time or not).  I really do cherish family.
8. I try to be relatable.  People tell me I give good advice, and that's a quality I'm grateful for.  I always love helping people, but sometimes I find it nearly impossible to help myself.
9. Memories mean a lot to me.  It doesn't matter if they're small or big, if I remember them, there is probably a reason why.
10.  Growing up is so exciting and absolutely terrifying, all at the same time.  Time drags by but it also flies by.  It's crazy.  I'm the oldest sibling, so I'm growing up first and it's such a weird thought that one day I'll be out of the house and in the real world.

Well there it is.  I'll try to post whenever I have a little thought that's turning into a big idea  (most likely very often). :)
